Design // Ranch Renovation
A look into our middle class, tight budgeted, first-ever home renovation. What a journey this has been. I’d love to say that after a year and some months we are finished with all the updates, but I can’t. We’re about 50% done. YET, can happily state that all the major stuff IS completed. Wahoo! Finally, the main floor of this ranch is done. We are unpacked (for the most part) and settled in. Feels like home. For a brief review, check out why we decided to move.
When you are a homeowner, you are never fully done fixing up and customizing your home. Things are constantly popping up, that you are either repairing or replacing. The biggest focus for us was to first go through the home and decide on what is most important. Figure out the essentials. To prioritize, to scale our efforts for a top-down approach. And...budget.
Of course, we had non-essential purchases and work we did but, hey, you live and learn. Probably could’ve done without the 8 baby pine trees planted out back that, unfortunately, didn’t make it through the summer.
I’m going to break down the before and after(s) by room.
Master bedroom | Part 1 | Part 2 |
Guest bedroom | Part 1 | Part 2 |
Hall bathroom
Living room
Family room
Dining room
Kitchen
Laundry room

Foyer
I’ve got some cleaning, picture taking, and listing to do. So check back to view the progress.
xx
